Meditation

Meditation is a way to slow the mind and find stillness and calm. The mind can be likened to a mainframe computer that never switches off, it is responsible for everything! In order to allow the mainframe to work to its optimum level, it needs to delete unwanted memory, find space for the new, rest and replenish. The first stage of meditation is simply to focus the mind or concentrate.

There are many healing properties, and there is clear evidence that through a concerted effort and daily practice, one can heal the neurological pathways steeped in habits and conditioning of the past. Paving way for brain to develop new more helpful pathways at the same time.

Easier said than done!  Here at Yogada we have a variety of methods to help still the mind and come to a relaxed meditative state and we offer a variety of experiences which include the morning meditations, candle gazing, breathwork and chakra healing meditation.

Meditation can be practiced by anyone, at any age.  We recommend the adult meditation classes for everyone over the age of 12 years.  There are some contraindications regarding certain diagnosed mental health disease.  If you are not sure please check with your doctor/specialist consultant first.
